In February 2025, science lessons were brought to life for Dillard Elementary students in K-5th grade when they visited the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. All students in grades K-5th had the opportunity to explore the world of science at the museum. The field trip was strategically planned so that there was a direct alignment to grade level instructional focus frameworks to provide real world applications and extensions of learning beyond the classroom.
Students deepened their knowledge of science through exploring exhibits, visiting the aquarium, and participating in hands-on learning labs. The Frost Planetarium exhibit was a mesmerizing experience for scholars as they journeyed to outer space, dove into the ocean to explore coral reefs, and traveled through the human body.
We are thankful to the donors and partners who support science education!
