Building confidence, social skills, and a love of learning that lasts
Dillard and North Fork understand the importance of teaching a STEM-based education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), but are now calling it “STEAM”. The A is for Art!
Program Information
Our Track Record:
Ranger Good Works has played a key role in enhancing the performing arts at Dillard Elementary, helping students build confidence, creativity, and cultural awareness through dance. A major milestone came in 2014 when Ranger Good Works partnered with Neiman Marcus for the “Love to Give” event. During this fundraiser, the Dillard Dance Club gave a special performance, showcasing their talent and school pride. Proceeds from the event directly supported arts programming at the school.
This work builds on support provided in 2013 to the school’s existing Step Team, which engaged over 40 girls in a program that promoted teamwork, discipline, and self-expression. Building on its success, Ranger Good Works introduced an African Dance component to celebrate heritage and culture. To support this expansion, they sponsored a dance teacher from Dillard High School and partnered with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts to give students access to professional instruction and performances.
Current Programs:
These efforts have helped students develop not only dance skills but also a deeper appreciation for culture and creative expression through multiple dance programs that celebrate both technique and heritage.
What’s Next:
Looking ahead, Ranger Good Works is focused on expanding the program by funding qualified dance instruction, performance-ready uniforms, and transportation to professional venues.
