Program Information

Our Track Record:

The Garden Club started at Dillard Elementary in 2013. The overall goal of the Garden Club is to introduce students to gardening, conservation, the protection of wildlife, the recognition of plants, trees, and shrubs, basic flower arrangements, and a love and appreciation of nature, while supporting the school district’s “Go Green” initiative.

Garden Club mentors teach children to channel greater self-expression, dignity, integrity, and knowledge of their environment.

Current Programs:

Members of the Garden Club are taught how to plant various species and harvest fruits and vegetables. The students are also shown how to incorporate fruits and vegetables into their daily diets with healthy recipes.
