Volunteers are worth their weight in gold. Each volunteer shared their time and talents with the children – and what an outstanding job everyone did! The students really responded to each of our volunteers, and that is due to the volunteers’ patience. The volunteers’ generosity and support exposed the children of Dillard Elementary to the wonderful professional possibilities awaiting them through hard work and studies.

Victoria Ranger and Angela Brown “Life Work Leadership Compassion Tour 2016”

Compassion Tour – Victoria Ranger and Angela Brown presented to the Life Work Leadership Class of 2016

Ranger Technical Resources and Dillard Elementary School were selected by the City of Ft. Lauderdale’s City Manager, Lee Feldman, as the city’s choice for an influential Case Study within their Compassion Tour for the Lifework Leadership of South Florida.  On January 8, 2016 Ms. Ranger and Ms. Brown presented the Ranger Good Works program to over 122 business leaders and city officials, describing how the partnership between the public and private sector has made a positive change by altering the direction of the school.  Dillard Elementary is a Broward County Public School – part of the largest school district in the United States.

District 5 School Board Member Dr. Rosalind Osgood shared with attendees the fact that Ms. Brown had received the Prestigious Caliber Award as “Principal of the Year” for Broward County in April 2015.  Ms. Brown acknowledged Ms. Ranger’s contribution and together, they received a standing ovation for their work in the community.

“The Compassion Tour was intended to engage people’s hearts, provide them with a window to become aware of actual needs within the community and inspire them to become involved!”  Amanda Forman, Program Director said. “Our mission was accomplished. The Ranger-Dillard story and what the team is doing is truly inspiring.”

Ms. Ranger and Ms. Brown’s shared goals are to raise awareness of the “reality of life” for a number of school children in Fort Lauderdale. They continue to encourage those within the community to realize that any act of kindness by one individual to another, especially to children, can make a difference in the world of a child.  They asked those in attendance to be generous and have the courage to lead others by helping any school with their students. There is great opportunity throughout the city of Ft. Lauderdale and everywhere in the United States to provide students with a better educational experience.

Our words of the day…..Compassion, Love and Give… To be continued!
